Bug

Things to do when you are dry:

  1. Walk around
  2. Climb up trees
  3. Get your Battlefield fix
  4. ...or play Halo if you don't have any money to splash on real games.
  5. Watch Vimeo
  6. ..and sulk because you realized your limits.

Accounts

Im a bit tired and stress out due to something big that is coming up (im opening a printing shop). Im doing accounts and seriously, i need to relearn my maths. I hate numbers. Time is running up, and im in a race against it. And it look like time is winning, but im catching up.

Late nights, tired eyes and a stomach full of junkfood. The Radio Dept. kept me waking up. Im still tinkering with Excel now, I'll be back with the updates once im done with the numbers and crunches.

Video Games Live

Sorry for the lack of updates, something big is coming up. Btw, last week was VGL (VideoGamesLive) week for me.Tommy Tallarico and co will be performing in Malaysia for the first time, 2 shows in one day! The gaming community here in Malaysia was excited, including me of course.

The time, 2.30 pm(the other show was at 8.30pm). The location, KLCC Planery Hall. Oh, it was PC Fair week too, so going there using the LRT was really a hassle. I hate swarms of human being, being crush by smelly armpits and titties. I think I'll just cut to the chase where I'll swam thru the sea of people and almost lost my ticket(It almost fell into the longkang, but I've got superb ninja reflexes).

I got there, went up to level 4 and sat at my seat. The show just started though. Its great to know that the VGL team uses the Malaysian National Philharmonic Orchestra for their show. The first segment was a retro segment of Frogger, Donkey Kong and also my fave, Ghouls & Goblins. Tommy show up after the segment and to be honest, he's short.

Next up, the Metal Gear Solid theme.During this segment, there is actually someone sneaking in a cardboard box. But its not solid snake nor David Hayter, its Tommy. After that I'm glad they played Shadow of the Colossus. Its been a long time since they play this tune, wanna go play ICO now. They was also a space invader dude who can't play Space Invaders even if his life was depended on it. Motion tracking space invaders anyone?

After Legend of Zelda, we went for a break. Act II was loading, camera almost ran out of battery, Act II begins.

And it begins with the song im eagerly waiting for. No, not One Winged Angel, but Snake Eater, on sax!!! SAAXXYYYY!!!! Than its the usual Mario, Castlevania, Halo and one winged angel(boring). They actually can't show any footage from FFVII due to licensing problem. What was on screen was some FFVII cosplay faggots. Damn you Squeenix!

And for the encore as demanded by the audience, they play songs from both chrono games, Trigger and Cross. Autograph session was up next. Brought my final issue of EGM with me for them to get their slimey hands on. Tommy was surprised with the EGM. He told me they are coming back (YEAY!!!)Well, after its all settle and done, its time to go home..no..i went to go catch Kick Ass with my missus. What i think about the show. Its great to be honest, seeing and listening to those great tunes in live mode for the first time. Memorable. The low attendance was the low point though. With more coverage, it could be a sellout.

Time for some megaman now...

Feeling like empty boxes

Work has not been much this past months. I meant, jobs are drying up, I'm sitting in front of the monitor everyday, staring at words and pixelated humanoids. You might be wondering why I'm complaining for getting paid for doing nothing except staring at words and pixelated humanoids.

Because it starts to get freaking boring. You would not go anywhere for being stagnant all the time. How could you improved yourself by staring at words and pixelated humanoids. Yes, sometimes I felt like work is over pouring & I need this deserved break, but this break is like going on forever. I am becoming rusty, ideas starts to ran dry. Open up, open up, feed the cat up your alley.

Look, im making me myself a lolcat....

Vectorism is FTW!

Hello there fellow Malaysian Graphic Designers. Ever done any government projects lately? If you did, remember how freakin' annoyed you can get when their "Creative Department" hands you a small Jpeg logo that has to be incorporated into their design. Yes, they ask you to insert that blocky piece of logo into something that is going to be presented to the Prime Minister or his lil' Minister.

Have no fret, I here have the perfect tool for the job. Introducing:

http://vectorism.blogspot.com/

Some of you may already know about this site. But for the initiated, its a place where beautiful government logo's comes from..Hi-Res of course. Filer formats in Eps and Ai will make you glee. So, do drop by and say goodbye to those blocky Jpegs.

PS3: It only does everything..including bug fixing

1st March, 2010, the day that the great big phat Playstation 3 came crashing to the ground, sending shivers to their owners. A bug that not supposed to be in a machine so ahead of its time(2 years ago) was giving nightmares to everyone who owns the old Phat model. Sony was having a headache. Why? It should only does everything. But i guess it really does everything, including creating its own bug.

But than, something happen. The Ps3, it really does everything. the bug that shouldn't be happening was being fixed by the machine itself. No firmware update, no soft mod, nothing. It just fixed the bug..while its power turn off! How the Xbox 360 owners wish their machine can fix the dreaded 3ROD by itself. No offence to the 360 owners (me myself used to be one), but the PS3 is a really powerful behemoth of a machine.

It only does everything...it really does.

*I want the next firmware update for the PS3 to wash my clothes and water my plants*

Heavy Rain

Yesterday, Heavy Rain was released, exclusive for the Playstation 3. Yours truly here ain't got the moolah's for it. But why Heavy Rain is the most hype game since Halo? Maybe its the sex scene? Maybe it the curiosity of knowing who is the killer? Or maybe is the "brushing my teeth" scene?

Choices...choices... I love playing games that gives me choices. Consequences of my actions dictates the whole game. I love how i can come terms with my actions after everything is settle. For I haven't got stuff to write anymore, need moolah's..... need to know why, when and how.

Sonic The Hedgehog 4 screen leak

I got this from 1UP:
"Just a few weeks ago Sega surprised plenty of people when they announced Sonic 4, the first numbered title in the series since 1994's Sonic 3, would be coming to PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 in episodic form starting this summer. That announcement left plenty of questions in the minds of Sonic's many rabid fans. How much will it cost? How many levels will be included? What does he look like when he runs?

Some of those questions can now be answered thanks to an anonymous kind-hearted tipster who leaked several screenshots and an off-screen video of an alpha build to 1UP. The screens and video reveal that at least four zones will make it into episode 1. Those are Splash Hill Zone, Lost Labyrinth Zone, Casino Street Zone, Mad Gear Zone and a Special Stage. We'll definitely have to wait a little longer before we got our grubby hands on it for ourselves, but until then this should whet our appetite."

Log: 8 February, 2010

captains log,

How shit can you get when they asked you for the design plus content, but they never did gave you the content. Its this shit *finger*.

Call them, they say they already gave me the content. I told them, what copy. All I got from them is a shit stack of papers that was supposedly being the content that was gonna be included in the design. Its even half finish. Wow, now they expect me to type everything back and come up with words. I ain't no copywriter dude. I told them just gave me the soft copy. They said ok....... great...until.....

Its now almost 4.30 p.m. No emails from them. Getting frustrated. Spineless Bastards.
